Lakeville North Juniors to field the following possible teams:

  • 1 or 2  - 12's  (6th grade girls and younger)

  • 1 - 13's  (7th grade girls and younger)

  • 1 - 14's  (8th grade girls and younger)

  • 1 - 15's  (9th grade girls and younger)

Approximately 9-11 girls will be selected per team.  

Try-Out Information (all try-outs are at Lakeville North HS main gym):

  • 12's (6th grade and younger) Friday Nov. 6th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

  • 13's (7th grade)  Fri. Nov. 6th 6:30-8:00 p.m. AND Mon. Nov. 9th 6:00 -  7:30 p.m.

  • 14's (8th grade)  Mon. Nov. 9th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. and if needed, Tues. Nov. 10 7:30 - 8:45 p.m.

  • 15's (9th grade)  Wed. Nov. 18th 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

 

The season begins with a few pre-season practices in November and December. Beginning January there will be 2 practices per week until the end of the season which is typically the end of April/beginning May.

Lakeville North Juniors plays in the Northern Lights Power League at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse in Burnsville.  League games are played either Saturday or Sunday of alternating week-ends.  In addition, each team will compete in 2-3 tournaments.

Pre-try-out Clinic:  Girls in 7th - 9th grades are encouraged to attend a free try-out clinic on Monday, Oct. 26 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Lakeville North High School.  Please use the registration form below.  There is no cost for this clinic. (The 2009 NCR USAV Membership Form must be filled out prior to the clinic.)

Parent pre-season informational meeting:  Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Lakeville North High School in room 248.

Try-out cost:  Pre-registered athletes $10.00.    Walk-ins/not pre-registered $25.00.  Payment must be made at the start of the try-out with either cash or check (made payable to Lakeville North Juniors).

  • The 2010 NCR USAV Membership Form must be filled out prior to the tryout.  Players will NOT be allowed to tryout without this form. Fill out the information at the top of the form and sign (four times) at the bottom of the form.

Please arrive at try-outs at least 15 minutes early.  Bring the following:

  1. Completed NCR form (see above)
  2. Wear T-shirt, shorts, athletic shoes with laces, white socks, and kneepads
  3. Please put your last name and grade in school on the middle back of your T –shirt with masking tape i.e.  JOHNSON 7  means your last name is Johnson and you are in 7th grade

 

Lakeville North Juniors Costs:

Fees cover league registration, individual player registration with the NCRUSAV, power league fees, insurance, coaching salaries, equipment, facility rental fees, administrative costs (including website), tournament registration fees, facility scheduling fees, etc.  Players will be provided with a jersey that they will return at the end of the season.  Players need to provide their own volleyball shoes, kneepads, white socks, and black spandex shorts.
