2008 Pre-Registration for Lakeville North Fall Traveling Volleyball

Lakeville North Juniors will field 2 teams that will play in the South Metro League volleyball season

  • 2 - 12's teams (4th-6th grade fall 2008)

The South Metro Volleyball League (SMVB) was formed to provide a competitive volleyball opportunity for girls ages 12 & under during the fall season (Sept - Oct. 30th).

Lakeville North Juniors will field 2 teams of approximately 9-11 girls per team to play in this league.  Try-outs will be held Tuesday Aug. 19th and Wednesday Aug. 20th 6:30-8:00 at Lakeville North High School in the main gym (North gym).  Parent meeting Tues. Aug. 19th 6:30-6:45 at the try-out.

  • Matches (double headers) are Monday evenings approximately 6:30 - 8:00pm beginning in September.  Matches are played at various facilities South of the metro such as Lakeville North HS, Apple Valley HS, Burnsville HS and Farmington Middle School.  The season runs September through October.  Teams usually entered in the league are Lakeville, Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eastview, Farmington and Prior Lake.

  • Practices are Thursday evenings 6:30-8:00pm at sites such as Century Middle School and Eastview Elementary School.  The first practices are Wednesday Aug. 27th and Thursday Sept. 4th 6:30-8:00 at LNHS.

  • Girls entering grades 4 through 6 in the Lakeville North High School attendance area are eligible to try-out.  No prior volleyball experience required.

  • The 2008 NCR USAV Membership Form must be filled out prior to the tryout.  Players will NOT be allowed to tryout without this form. Fill out the information at the top of the form and sign (four times) at the bottom of the form.
  • Parent meeting Tuesday Aug. 19th 6:30-6:45 at the try-out.
